Justine Elliot has been the Federal Member for Richmond on the North Coast of NSW since 2004.
Justine graduated from Queensland University with a Bachelor of Arts in English and History. She also holds a Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations from Griffith University.
Before becoming a Federal Parliamentarian, Justine worked as a Youth Justice Convenor with the NSW Department of Juvenile Justice, drawing on her seven years' experience as a police officer. She was a community representative on the Northern Rivers Area Health Service Hospital and Community Health Council.
Justine was previously the Minister for Ageing and prior to becoming a Minister she was a member of the House of Representatives Standing Committee on Health and Ageing.
Justine is married to Craig and they have two children.
She currently holds the seat of Richmond with a margin of 2.96%.
